Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I need your online mixing services?

There are two main reasons why you need our online mixing services. Either you have recorded everything in your home studio with really good results but now you have stuck at the mixing process. That's when you really need a fresh and experienced pair of ears to work on your project from another point of view and give punch and dimension to your tracks - or - The studio you have recorded your work did a good job on recording but gave you unacceptable mixing results! Don't worry though! Nowadays fast internet connections have made online collaboration a simple and easy process. You just have to upload your project to our secure server and we will take it from there, our goal is always to rich your goals! We will keep mixing your tracks until you are 100% satisfied with what you expect from the song, given that it is recorded properly! Fix it in the mix is far away from our philosophy!

2. But who the @uck are you and why should I trust my music to an online service?

We are experienced engineers and do this in our free time with no compromises in quality and quantity of work. Our main goal is to help indie bands and artists to provide better music to their audiences! It's all about music! Don't you ever get tired with all the mediocre stuff that exists out there?

Yeah home studios and DIY are the future, we are for it too and we love DIY but let's face it: only 1 out of 50 home productions actually worth it and sound like they where recorded in "place your favourite big buck studio here". Very few can do it properly, and it's not about knowledge, recording and mixing is an art, just like music, you either have it or you don't!

We have listened to countless demos of great bands and artists providing great music but sounding like shit. It just takes out a big piece of the whole magic and doesn't help music to break through! Mediocracy became the new standard and this is just depressing.

Let us help you by bringing our mixing experience into your recordings and provide a result that will help your music to reach the right people easier!

3. What should I do before I send you my project?

- If you are using Cubase, Nuendo or Logic you just need to zip your project folder as it is and upload it to our server. If you are using some other workstation you can export your project in omf format Or you can export all your audio channels to separate wave files, in order to do so we ask that you export separate .wav files for each track in your recording session; if your recording session has 24 tracks, you will export 24 .wav files. Please name each track appropriately(i.e.: kick drum, snare drum, lead guitar etc.). Most importantly, please export all of your tracks with the exact same starting point in your session. This way, all of your tracks will line up when we work on your mix.

It is very important to export your audio files dry and without any processing (eq, compression, reverb, volume changes, automation etc),and leave them exactly as recorded. If there is a specific sound that you love that was created with a plugins effect or a guitar emulator (guitar rig, amplitube etc) and you want to keep it as it is feel free to export that track with processing.

Once all tracks have been properly exported, place them in a folder named with the song title and zip the folder before uploading to our secure server. So three important things to remember a) Export your mono tracks to mono and your stereo tracks to stereo. b) Use the exact same starting point for all of the tracks. c) Remove all processing and effects before exporting. Don't be a victum of the new technologies in music production, use them in your advance to make better music!

4. What sample rate, sample frequency and file types can you handle?

- We can handle 16bit and 24bit wav and aiff files up to 96khz. Always remember to export your files in the same rate and frequency they where recorded, DO NOT do any conversions.
